MULLINS, SC – A man died of injuries he sustained during a hit-and-run accident in Mullins last month, according to WMBF News.

The accident occurred on December 21 near the intersection of Marion Street and Seaboard Avenue, when the victim was walking along the road and was struck by a driver who then fled the scene.

The victim, a 38-year-old man, was airlifted to the hospital in Florence with serious injuries.

He died on New Year’s Eve at about 10:30 p.m.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

The accident remains under investigation.
