FLORENCE, SC – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is on the lookout for a semi truck that hit a vehicle and pedestrian in Florence on Tuesday and then left the scene.

SC NOW reports that the incident occurred on southbound I-95 near mile marker 160, close to its bridge over Hoffmeyer Road, where authorities say an 18-wheeler side-swiped a car and then struck a pedestrian. They do not know the truck’s make, model, or color, but believe that it likely has front-end damage to its passenger side.

The injured pedestrian’s current condition is unknown.
