CONWAY, SC – A motorist and a dog became trapped when their vehicle overturned northwest of Conway on Wednesday.

According to WBTW, Horry County Fire Rescue responded to an incident in the 800 block of D Street at about 4:14 p.m. yesterday. A vehicle had overturned, trapping an individual and a dog inside. Emergency workers extricated the person and took them to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. Horry County police freed the dog, who was scared but unhurt.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation of the accident.
