News: 3-vehicle collision shuts down Columbia intersection

COLUMBIA, SC – A three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Gervais Street and Pickens Street Monday morning forced police to close the eastbound lanes, WIS reports.
The collision scene at Gervais & Pickens will likely be cleared in roughly 20 minutes. #ColumbiaPDSC officers found a third vehicle involved. No serious injuries reported on scene. At last check, EMS did not have to take anyone to the hospital. Cause under investigation. pic.twitter.com/7WBlWQJIH9

The crash caused a black SUV to overturn, trapping an occupant inside. However, it seems that the person was able to extricate themselves from the wreck before police arrived on the scene.
No serious injuries were reported.
Investigations into the cause of the crash were ongoing as of Monday evening.
