WADMALAW ISLAND, SC (CHARLESTON COUNTY) – A 21-year-old woman was killed in a Christmas-Eve car accident on Wadmalaw Island, according to WCBD.
The single-vehicle accident occurred at 12:51 a.m. in the 1400 block of Main Road.
The victim is 21-year-old Wadmalaw Island resident Kayla Mitchell.
She sustained blunt-force injuries as a result of the accident, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
