JAMES ISLAND, SC – As reported by ABC 4 News, the victim of a fatal pedestrian accident on James Island two weeks ago has been identified as 66-year-old Russell Brown of Charleston.

According to authorities, the pedestrian accident occurred near the intersection of Riverland Drive and Central Park Road. Brown sustained serious injuries and was transported to MUSC Medical Center, where he later died.

Police closed the area around the scene to investigate the collision, which ended the Holiday Festival of Lights prematurely.
